This creamy blueberry yogurt combines tangy plain yogurt with a smooth blueberry puree, fresh lemon, and vanilla.
The result is a naturally colorful, fruity mixture with a balanced flavor and a soft, creamy texture.
With only a few ingredients and minimal preparation, it makes an easy choice for breakfast, a light snack, or a chilled dessert.

Ingredients

- 2 cups (about 300 g) fresh or frozen blueberries
- 2 cups plain yogurt
- 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
- 1 teaspoon finely grated lemon zest
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 tablespoon maple syrup or honey, optional

Make the Blueberry Puree

Place the blueberries, lemon juice, lemon zest, and vanilla extract in a blender or food processor.
Blend until smooth and evenly combined, scraping down the sides if necessary.
If using frozen blueberries, let them soften slightly before blending. No additional liquid is normally needed because the berries release moisture as they are processed.

Mix with the Yogurt

Add the plain yogurt to a large mixing bowl.
Pour in the blueberry puree and gently fold with a spoon or spatula until the mixture is evenly colored and smooth.
Mix only until combined to maintain the yogurt's creamy consistency.

Adjust the Flavor

Taste the mixture before adding sweetener, as the natural sweetness of blueberries can vary.
If desired, add the maple syrup or honey gradually, beginning with 1 teaspoon. Stir well and adjust according to taste.
The finished yogurt should have a fresh blueberry flavor with a gentle citrus note and subtle vanilla aroma.

Chill and Serve

Serve the yogurt immediately for a soft texture, or refrigerate it before serving for a colder, firmer consistency.
For extra texture, top each serving with fresh blueberries, oats, or small pieces of soft fruit.
Store any leftovers in a covered container in the refrigerator and follow the storage guidance provided for the yogurt used.

A Fresh Homemade Treat

This blueberry yogurt is an easy way to combine creamy yogurt with the bright flavor of fresh fruit. The lemon adds freshness, while vanilla complements the blueberries without overpowering them.
Its simple preparation makes it suitable for a quick breakfast, convenient snack, or refreshing dessert. With the sweetness easily adjusted to taste, the recipe can be prepared with either fresh or frozen blueberries.
